Frequently
Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about planning trade parameters, calculating risk, and estimating costs with Inveslo.
What calculations does the all-in-one trading calculator perform?
The trading calculator simultaneously computes required margin, pip values, potential profit or loss, position size based on risk parameters, and overnight swap charges.
How does position sizing from risk work?
By entering your account balance, risk percentage, and stop-loss price, the calculator automatically determines the maximum lot size you should trade to keep potential losses within your defined limit.
Where do I find the overnight swap rates for my trade?
Overnight swap rates per lot are listed in your MT4 or MT5 terminal under the Specifications tab for each trading instrument.
Why are triple-swap days counted as three nights?
Triple swap accounts for weekend roll-over charges, which are typically applied mid-week (usually Wednesday or Friday depending on the asset class) to settle weekend holding costs.
Are execution spreads included in the profit and loss output?
Yes, when you input actual market entry and exit prices (bid and ask), spread costs are inherently reflected in the calculation. Enter commission charges and overnight swaps separately.
