What is the minimum lot size of spot gold & silver?

The minimum lot size is 1 oz. for Gold and 50 oz. for Silver.

The normal margin for spot gold or silver is 1:1, or 100% of the contract value.

The maximum position any investor can hold at any given time is 10,000 oz troy ounces for gold (spot) and 250,000 troy ounces for silver (spot)

Spot metals trading is available 23 hours a day from 6 p.m. EST Sunday through 5 p.m. EST Friday. Trading is closed from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily, however, traders may place new working orders, cancel or edit existing working orders.

Yes, you can but as with the forex position, the rollover will automatically be applied.

No, there is no expiry date on spot gold or silver. As long as the trader maintains the required margin, the position will remain open until the trader manually closes it. As with the forex positions, open spot metal positions automatically roll forward to the next day’s value date (NY trading at 1700 EST)
